Our ancient Celtic spear is hand-made with a blackened flared spear head. This ancient Celtic spear will command respect against other ancient spears. Wider flared blades were widely used by our Celtic ancestors for hunting and in battle. The wider blades were more effective in downing a charging animal or enemy as the blade created a wider, more lethal wound. The spear was very effective in battle, ripping large holes in chainmail and armor. Each Celtic spearhead features a side guard that is secured with hand pounded rivets on a rectangular shaved blackened and seared wooden handle.
